Shortly after a teenage boy here at Quail was killed in a car accident, his best friend was expressing worry and fear to Jan about the security we have in knowing that we're going to heaven. Seemed like there were several songs I remember singing as a young person that asked if I was ready for the judgement, but few had lyrics that I could sing to express a confident affirmative answer. I wrote this song to express the confidence we should have in the finished work of Christ on the cross. If only we would believe it.
